Sometimes, just adding one little thing to a page can make a big difference. One of the techniques I find myself using over and over, is to take a part of the design that I want to stand out, and go over it with glossy accents/diamond glaze...whatever the brand is you use. It creates a more three dimensional aspect to the page, and adds a fun and easy element.
This is the full page (another one for Mom's album). I wanted to create a vintage look for the page, and some clusters of embellishments.This photo of the page was taken before I added the glossy accents to the bird.
