Sparkly Medallions

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  DieCember  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

 

This week the challenge is: WRAP IT UP

Join us this week and making any type of gift wrap embellishments anything to help you wrap things up. I've made some sparkly medallions to add to packages as toppers. 

 

Start with five sheets of pattern paper 3" x 3"

 

Fold in half diagonally with the pattern out. 

 

Now open and full day in the opposite direction. Use a bone folder to get a good crease especially if it's a heavier paper

 

Open up and go to the inside and fold in half hotdog style. Open again and fold in hot style in the opposite direction. 

No go back to your pattern side and pinch together at the center and it will create a star shape like this. 

Now you're going to flatten it out and take the top triangles and fold them into the center so it kinda looks like a jet airplane. 

Glue those flaps down that you just folded on the bottom and on the inside. Press it with a bone folder to get a nice flat crisp edge. 

Now on the fifth piece start laying your triangles on top matching the corners. Glue them down 

Period

Continue to add your pieces until all four of the folded pieces are glued down on the backPiece.

You can add a button or a bra or a sequin to the center 

.

Add some glitz to yours , you can spray it with a shiny spray like the hickory smoke. Then add some sparkly glitter around the edge and you'll have a lovely holiday topper.

 

Here are my three samples ready to be used on a package or a bag to add some fancy decorations.

You could easily turn Mason into ornaments or a garland to hang on your tree. However you would like to wrap things up have fun and enjoy the process.
