Tim's Tags of 2013...with a Flourish

Overcast and cold outside, so a good day to craft inside. I decided to try my hand at Tim Holtz's December tag and use the new frosted film for the first time. I decided to aim for a vintage look, and used the new winter distress paint colors for the background and stenciling. Then, it was stamping, layering, stickles, ribbon, metal, when I noticed I had blue on top but nowhere else. So, took some stormy sky paint and the end of my pen and added some spots of blue. Here's Santa wishing you a Merry Christmas!

My December 2013 tag is ready to go over to Tim's blog for a visit here, and to Simon Says "Flourish"challenge here.
Hope you are having a joyous season!

  1. Wow! I really love how this tag turned out! You have worked your usual bit of magic on this and have made something totally unique! The vintage vibe is fantastic, but I like how you incorporated some new elements. I adored the way you hung the metal tag from the pin. Clever, clever...as always! Thank you so much for keeping me inspired and for sharing your extraordinary creations with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!

  3. Maura....Huge Congrats on being chosen to be among our Designer Spotlight guests. I totally LOVE your very retro Christmas card. Your Tim Santa is darling atop the red and green faded background. I also love the embellishments you've included to really add to the retro feeling. <3 Candy
