Think Pink

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the   TAG IT  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: THINK PINK...BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

So many women we know have faced a breast cancer diagnosis,. My mom was one of those women, and she faced Sit bravely, twice. I admire the courage it took her to accept and deal with this. Sometimes all we can do for friends and loved ones is to be there for them and give our love and support. 

I began by mixing several pink paints on my tag. I sprinkled water onto it before completely dry, and lifted some paint to create this background.

Next, I stamped some bubbles over the tag with Rhubarb ink. 

Next, I stamped the women. I wanted two to show support. I meant to have them facing each other, but decided this was ok too. 

I stamped and added a sentiment of love and support. 

I wanted to dress it up and four lace and flowers in my stash to give it a very feminine feel 

Final touch - some pink butterflies, to represent the change a woman faces, devastating, but also hopeful.

FOUND IN PARIS 

Wouldn't it be wonderful to find yourself in Paris? I had the good fortune to spend some time there a number of years ago. 

Layers 1 and 2 - tissue paper collage and stamping.

Layer 3 - turquoise paint scraped across the pages 

Layer 4 - handmade faux leather paper made from Amazon bags 

 Layer 5 - stamped images on kraft paper

Off on an adventure... 

...only to find oneself in Paris!

Funny Punny

 

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  HAPPY BIRTHDAY  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: FUNNY PUNNY

I saw this stamp after a visit to the dentist, and knew it was perfect for this week.

WE ALL NEED A CROWN, RIGHT? PERSONALLY, I LIKE THE ONES I CAN PUT ON MY HEAD, LOL! 

A mix of bright colors to start things off...

Next up, a layer of stamped marks... 

Whitewashing works well to pull the elements together. 

I stamped and cut this fun saying from Funny Bones. They really have so many quotes that make me laugh. 

Crowns need gems, so I added a clear dazzling gem to the center of the crown. 

Final step was to wrap a bit of pink and black twine around the ATC. 

Yes, we court all use a beautiful crown!
