Thinking about LUCK... I just celebrated one of my favorite holidays - St. Patrick's Day, but as luck would have it, I entered the card I made for the holiday into the Distress challenge at Simon Says. Well, that would have been perfect for this, so I had to think about another angle on LUCK.
I am anxiously awaiting the LUCKY day that Spring actually arrives in upstate NY this year! It has been one long, cold, and snowy winter. (In the photo, that's how much snow we still have) I long for some green, and to see the flowers nosing up through the moist earth, searching for the sun.
So, even though the calendar says it is spring, looking out in my backyard, it is not. Thankfully, today the sun is shining. Translating all this longing for spring into creative action, I hosted a Spring Fling swap at In My Vintage Room, and here are my thoughts on spring as made into several mixed media little fat book pages.

Flower? Hot Air balloon? Keys to a perfect day! |
So, as LUCK will have it, I am entering my Spring Beauties into the Simon Says Lucky Challenge.
With the many splashes of color in my little 4x4 pages, I am also going to enter these over at the Inspiration Emporium March challenge.
Maura - these are fabulous!! I love the vintage imagery and the fun colors!!!

Can I just say that I LOVE this piece? I'm always intrigued by what you come up with and I think your interpretation of our "luck" theme is brilliant! I, too, am so ready to retire the boots and mittens and snow shovel! Your fat little art book pages are a fantastically whimsical and happy mix of bright colors and Spring images. It did my eyes good just to see them! Wonderful work and extreme creativity, as usual. Thanks so much for sharing these delightful pieces with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
