I have today off, so have time to actually do this challenge early in the week, rather than my usual last minute on Sunday.
I decided to work in one of my art journals, and found this lovely background I had made quite awhile ago. It seemed to me to be just right for some artsy stamping.
I dug through my stamps and came up with quite a few I wanted to play with. One of the things I love about these challenges is, they get me to go through my stash and find things I have forgotten.
Lots of stamp play, some watercolor cards from Prima that I painted and took apart, stamping on frosted film, and smudging it a bit...
Stamped and added some distress ink for a pop of color. My art journal always gets me thinking of seeing, looking at things differently around me, using my imagination, and these stamps help show these ideas.
I seem to take a "direction" with my journal each time I work on some pages. This is also a reminder to myself that I really should do something in my art journal every day.
Stamps dug out of my stash by Natalie Kalbach, Lazar Studiowerx, Stampers Anonymous Acey Deuce, and I think Lost Coast Designs.
Love the back ground colors, the techniques used and choice of stamps....this is so you....
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Makes me want to stamp in my Smashbook!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had loads of fun working on this today. This week's challenge is a good one and you have some really great "artsy" stamps. I think it's good to work something creative into each day, for some, it's making a journal page but I don't think it matters much what it is as long as you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteMaura....beautiful art journal pages! I love your wispy background. Such gorgeous colors! Then all of the "artsy" stamping that you've added to them.....WOW! Great use of so many cool stamps! I love them all! I also wanted to thank you for the very sweet comment that you left on my blog. I hope you'll join us for the CC3C faux tea roses challenge. <3 Candy
