Inspired by SoapHousemama

I always love to visit the purplemailbox and see what Ashli, aka soapHousemama, is creating. She is a powerhouse of inspiration, so if you haven't visited her blog, be sure to check it out here. Quite awhile ago I won this lovely tag from her which I hang year round in my craft area.
I had a couple of gifts I wanted to create, so using this tag as my inspiration, plus a couple of tags I purchased from SoapHousemama's Etsy shop, I started to play.
The base is black chipboard from a mini album, and I layered acrylic paints and textured it, plus added a little edge doodle.
Next I decided to add some tissue paper, so I tore little bits and applied in in some areas with glue and seal.
The tag bases are her lovely tags from Etsy, which I decided would make an awesome base, rather than me starting from scratch. I used scraps to make the trees, added the banner, glitter, then cut out the ballerinas.
Added in some punchinella, wood, metal, flair buttons from CampfireDesigns Etsy shop (see the sidebar), glitter, snowflakes...I decided to tone down the trees, so "whitewashed" them with watered down white acrylic.

As the tag says, I do think these are "oh so lovely" and I hope the recipients do too! Thanks soapHousemama for some great inspiration!!

Now, since it is "Anything Goes" over at the Simon Says challenge, I am going to enter my little mixed media canvases here.
