Ombre, ole!

It's Monday!

From the popular Hero Arts ink pads to the new Distress DIY ink pads ombre is one trend that is going strong! You can be inspired to use an ink pad, make your own blend of colors, or even go for something monochromatic if you like.

I know the leaves might be changing color where you are, but I just had to make an ombre green to play with! I love these Simon Says nature stamps, just perfect for a card (or scrapbook page).

Keeping things natural with a kraft card! Started out by making my personal custom blend to stamp with. I must say, this is such a cool idea!

I wanted a watercolor look for the tree body, so after I inked the stamp, I spritzed it with water, then stamped.

My trees needed a little bird, and the sun. I doodled the sun and colored it with a marker, then fussy cut it. Added some background texture with some brown ink, keeping it natural. Finally, a row of buttons, and I am done. Easy, peasy!

Are you ready for some ombre? I am looking forward to seeing how you interpret this challenge. Be sure to check out all of the wonderful work by the design team! See you over there!

Time to craft and and join us in the fun!  A random winner is chosen every week to win a generous $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp!

  14. LOVE how this turned out! I have this stamp set and it's become one of my faves. I love seeing the clever ways other people use it. I really liked how you made the button row at the bottom-- it's like an enchanted path through the forest. You always have such clever details!
