Spritz and Spray Love

It's Monday and time for some fun and a new challenge!

This week it's all about spraying and spritzing. There are a ton of sprays out there from many different manufacturers and you can even make your own to match your project exactly.

I decided to make some Valentines using several different sprays - Prima Color Bloom, Dylusions, and Distress and a couple of types of paper, as well as some dies. Basically I wanted to use the same materials, but change it up with each card, and also see how well they worked together (they did great!).

First, I die cut my hearts and words to use on the cards, or as stencils like I did here, then spritzed and sprayed with the different colors.

I made a simple spray area by clipping up a sheet of copy paper and laying one down - it works pretty well. Yep, that's my messy work area...

I wanted a different look for each card, and when I stamped the heart in brown, I started thinking chocolate...since they are often given as a gift on Valentine's Day. I hand dye my ribbon using different sprays and stains, and love how I can match it.

Here, I wanted to try a bit of a drip technique with the spray, and then added in a bit of glimmer with sequins and beads.

I like the pops of color on top of the sprays that I got with the Color Bloom.

I flicked some water drops on this one after I finished spraying to get these lovely water marks.

Did you notice the difference in intensity of the colors on the different papers I used? An entirely different look is achieved just by using different surfaces. It's fun to experiment and see how your materials react. Four cards using basically the same things, and each has a unique look. Do you have a favorite?

Ok, time for you to get your mojo working and start spraying! Be sure to link up and share your creations with us.
