Hello Monday, my friends! Welcome back to a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp - Touchy Feely! Interesting one, right? I decided to focus on different textures in my mixed media card.
I started off by rubbing worm lipstick and spiced marmalade distress oxide inks to the top section of the bubble wrap embossing folder. Then I embossed the watercolor paper.
Here is what it looks like after embossing. I like it just like this, but I decided to go a step further.
This is what it looks like after misting with water. You get some lovely blending of the colors!
Time to add some shimmer and shine, so I brushed on the 3D matte gel randomly, then sprinkled on the mica powders and used a dry brush to work them in.
I attached the die cut pieces with the matte gel, then I used it to add a sprinkling of metallic micro beads across the card to connect the Congrats to the flowers.
I punched holes through both layers and stitched in some X's.
It's that time of the year when I need some Congratulations cards, so now I am ready with this one. I really like that bubble wrap texture, and then add in the different feel with the thread, beads and die cuts, and I think I have "touchy feely" covered!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to join in our challenge this week, and I am looking forward to seeing how you interpret touchy feely.
