Welcome steampunk friends! Our Summer Challenge is here at Sandee and amelie's Steampunk Challenges, which means you have two months to enter. This challenge is open until the end of August, which gives you plenty of creative time to make and share.
This time around, I was inspired by nature to create two ATC's, all about being drawn to the light.
A while back, I was playing with the DecoArt Pouring Medium and made a number of canvases for future use. I love the way these colors blended, and the metallic in them is awesome. I have a post about it HERE if you are interested.
I chose these two to work with on my steampunk ATC's.
I'm using two cool light bulbs from boozybear chipboard.
Stamped the insects on dictionary type paper (but heavier)...
Colored them in a bit with Prima watercolors...
...and then I had fun layering on some of Seth Apter's Baked Textures.
Choose to Shine!
I hope you will play along with us this summer with our steampunk/industrial mixed media challenge! I'm looking forward to seeing what amazing makes you share!!
Thanks to our awesome sponsors who keep the gears turning at SASPC!

ReplyDeleteLOVE these ATC's the effects on the background are fabulous. What a great way to play around with the acrylic pour using this size. Those added elements look most fabulous.
