Hello Monday my friends! We have a special celebration of stamping for the month of September, and we are starting it off with our STAMPtember new release with our Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge theme - STAMP IT ON! Get out your Simon Says Stamp products and join us, or use any stamps you have. Let's play!
We have a special guest designer this month - please join me in welcoming the very talented Terelisa Agosti who does amazing mixed media work! Welcome Terelisa, we are so happy to have you join us this month.
Stuck on You
I received the Simon Says Stamp SPIDER WEB Background stamp to play with - thanks Simon!
Now, the challenge is on for me to think up some creative ways to use this stamp.
If you missed my post on the STAMPtember Blog Celebration yesterday, you can go HERE. (I made a card and art journal page)
I stamped the spider web with Simon Says Stamp Black dye ink, and once it dried, went in and layered and misted several Distress Oxide inks.
I die cut the YOU, and decided to use the negative version of it on my card, so backed my black piece with white and "stitched" around the edges with my gel pen. I also stamped the Game Tile letters, cut them out, and added foam tape for some depth.
To add a bit of glitz and glamour, I popped on three Treasure Chest sequins.
Now I have a romantic Halloween card I guess...it will be interesting to see where this goes.
I'm so glad you popped by to check out my STAMPtember creation. I am looking forward to having you join us in this week's stamping challenge! One lucky participant chosen at random, will receive a $50 shopping voucher from our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp!

Wonderful, clever sentiment to go with the spider web Maura!
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely ga-ga over this card -- I didn't know how I would use the tiles and now they are a must have for my stash. Love the colors and honestly, I don't consider this a Halloween card at all -- I would make this card for my hubs and he would adore it. Thanks for the enabale!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore Halloween and that spider web background is fabulous, the colour is beautiful and I just love the whole design Maura. Anne x

Maura! Who else but you would think to make a spiderweb into a romantic gesture? Clever, clever girl! I like how the colors are still Halloween-ish, but more rosy pink. Surely your art-appreciative hubby will get a kick out of this creative theme combo!
