Welcome back friends! Are you ready for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge? It's THINKING OF YOU, and I thought it was perfect for making a card...we all need a thinking of you card in our stash, right?
As I was working, I was thinking of my art friend, Gwen Lafleur, because I am using her new stamps with Paper Artsy. I just love her Bohemian style influenced by her worldwide travels! Congratulations Gwen on your new stamps!!
Bohemian Thinking of You
I started out by stamping an overall background with a lighter grey ink. As you can see, nothing is stamped perfectly. (I didn't use anything other than my fingers to press the stamp.)
But, once you start blending in some inks, things begin to change.
And then add in more stamped images in blue, and now we're cooking!
Why not a few dots in green next?
And of course, some highlights with a white pen. I love adding in details with white. Now the background is ready for the die cut.
After I adhered the die cut, I wanted it to stand out a bit more, so added in some pink around it. To finish it off, I tied on some hand dyed orange ribbon with a bow. These bright orange and pinks remind me of the gorgeous colors in India where I met Gwen in person.
Are you inspired to join us this week? I hope so!! Our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp offer a $50 shopping voucher each challenge to one participant drawn at random, so play along!
