Hello Monday, my friends! We have a new challenge for you this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - LET'S SPARKLE! We are showcasing products from Brutus Monroe in this challenge, so if you have some, we would love to see it! It's a sparkly season, from the holiday lights, to the sunshine sparkling on the snow, so get inspired and add some sparkle!
We have the amazing Autumn Clark joining us again for the month of December, which is a real treat! She is one super talented crafter, and I am really looking forward to having her here with us for the month.
I started out thinking about the upcoming holidays, as I am busily working away on Christmas cards and gifts. Where I live, the cold and snow have moved in, but I started thinking about Christmas on the beach in a nice warm climate, and those cute tiny trailers. So, I put it all together in a beach themed sparkly Christmas tag.
I started with the Brutus Monroe Mermaid Lagoon Tangled Waves stencil and texture paste to create the water. I set this aside to dry.
In the meantime, I used the stamp platform to stamp these cute little trailers, and colored them in with Tombow markers. Next, I fussy cut them out.
I happened to have these colors on hand, and decided I could make them work to create the ocean, beach and sky. It's interesting what you can do when you limit yourself.
I added the Fallen Snow glitter glaze on the tag and on top of the trailers to make it look like snow. I added clear bubbles to the ornaments.
A bit of silver pen for the stars...
Fun and funky colors for my little RV's.
This will give you an idea on texture and sparkle.
I had an older Christmas sticker pack from Tim Holtz and added the words.
So, now it's time for you to get your sparkle on and join us this week with our challenge! Our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp are offering a $50 shopping voucher to one lucky participant...it could be you!
