Sprays and Splashes

Hello Monday my friends! We have a new challenge for you this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - SPRAYS AND SPLASHES. If you like to get messy, this is the opportunity to do that!

I pulled out lots of paints and sprays this week to play with in my art journal.

I started with a collage sheet from Dina Wakley and added some strips of Eastern Influence paper onto it.

Then, I started adding in stenciled images to begin to pull everything together.

And then, I will admit I went a little wild with splashes of Gloss sprays, paint, and ink. Kind of a mess I thought.

So then I smudged in some white and black paint and added some drips. At this point, it really looks nothing like where I began.

I decided I needed some more splashes of color, and added in some pink dots with the end of a wood skewer.

I cut the sheet into four, added some words and images. Then, I decided the white paper in the art journal was too much, so found some old paper that I added in, then added my colorful pieces. More drips and splashes.

Then, I decided to add in a bit more color with oil pastels.

Final step was to cut out some collage tissue and add a few circles to connect all the cards across the pages. It was fun going through my stash to find old photos for each quote.

Are you ready to do some spraying and splashing? Come join us this week in our fun challenge. Our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp are donating a $25 shopping voucher to one participant!
