Simon Says: Use Something Green

Hello Monday my friends! It's time to Get Your Green On...St. Patty's Day is coming March 17th, and it's one of my favorite holidays. Perfect for this week's theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - USE SOMETHING GREEN.

I took the opportunity to make a duo of cards with a fun St. Patty's day theme - so let's shake your shamrocks and get crafting with a mischievous leprechaun, and our partying lady!

I added a bit of stenciled design to the orange card stock with the Bubble stencil and Fossilized Amber paint by Tim Holtz.

While that dried, I stamped out the images on watercolor paper and used a water brush and watercolor to fill them in.

Of course, I needed to add some green too, so I used Simon's Chunky Sweater stencil  - Hello! Fisherman sweaters, right? and some Mowed Lawn distress paint.

I fussy cut the images and layered them onto the cards.

The background for lady (I think she must be doing a jig) is some Authentique Dublin paper I had in my stash. (Simon carries some newer St. Patty's Day themed paper)

So, let's Shake Your Shamrocks and Get Your Green On!!

Now, it's your turn to USE SOMETHING GREEN! And remember, our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp are offering a $25 shopping voucher, drawn at random.

 A great place to shop!!
