Rabbit Spring

 

 Hello Monday my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Whatever the Weather Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: EASTER/SPRING

Rabbits make me think of Spring. We have a nest of them living in our brush pile, and they venture out into the yard in search of new grass shoots in the Spring after the snows melt away I made a little accordion book with a rabbit/hare theme..  

 

First steps are to cut a piece of watercolor paper (4.5x12 inches) and accordion fold into fourths. Stamp the rabbit image on every other panel.

Color each rabbit a different bright color. Use a blending brush to fill in the image with ink. 

Go back in to each rabbit image and add more color with the ink and a water brush. Use the mocha ink and a water brush and blend around the rabbits and on the open sections.

 Then, use the In the Round stencil and paint and add the design around the rabbits. 

Once the paint dries, add some doodles with the white and gold pens. 

On the cover, roll some hand dyed ribbon into a "flower" and glue to the paper. Fold over a bit of the green ribbon and glue under the flower for a leaf. 

I found some fun quotes about rabbits to add in to the open spaces . I like to hand letter these.

 Cover with some spring ribbon flowers...
