The Magic of Trees

 

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Sentiment as the Focus Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

It's been wonderful having Carol with us this month sharing her creative ideas on each of our challenges. I am looking forward to seeing more Carol! 

This week the challenge is: TREES

Hmm, don't these colors look like Spring? Maybe I have the seasons mixed up? Or maybe I just wanted bright and cheery as the days are ggetting shorter. Whatever the case may be, this was just pain fun to work  in unexpected colors, and bring some magic from the trees into the worlds.

Did you know I stared my career as a forester? I also used to hug trees and plant them too. Some of my earliest memories are of me and trees, playing in the woods and climbing them, reading and drawing under them,  and just enjoying the magic they brought into my life. 

I thought I would share some Adirondack trees with you. We took a road trip to a watercolor show through the mountains, and I tried to capture some of the landscape and changing colors. I am glad to live near forests and trees, they bring me joy.

I pay him by stamping the background text onto both pages, then I mixed pink orange and yellow paint over that. 

Once the paint tried I used the stencil with the sparkle texture paste and applied that onto both pages. Then I let that dry thoroughly. 

I decided I needed to make the design stand out more, so I smudged in some peacock blue paint and then wiped it back so that the sparkle would shine. 

I thought this happy, playful couple would be perfect on these bright cherry pages. I also thought it would be fun to do the acorns in bright colors also and add a couple to the corners of my pages.

Since this was very playful I wanted to come up with some fun words to go with it so added make time together Magic.
