Thinking of You, Sister

\

Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Masculine  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: THINKING OF YOU

I've ben thinking of my sister, Sheila. She and I started this blog together and shared ideas and creativity with each other and you. It's been many years since I have seen her, but she is often in my thoughts, so Sis, this one's for you.

I began by stamping Simon's Old Letter stamp onto the pages as my first layer. Then, I scraped on Lemon and Lapis paint. I think it got a bit ugly at this point.

Next layer up - I collaged Seth Apter's Paper Artsy tissue on to my pages. I especially like the lollipop like design, and the words fit well -your own story.

I decided to add more color to brighten this up. I used Scribble Sticks and added touches of orange and turquoise.

Next, I took the end of a dowel and the Lemon paint and added marks.

I used a white Scribble Stick to tone down a couple of areas.

I stamped Sister, and added the matted photos. I found these recently which got me thinking about my sister. I was much younger here - no white hair!

I hand lettered thinking of you...
