I am always up for a cup of coffee with a friend! 

 

I did a  bit of ink smooshing, and stamped my coffee cup and message.

 I used watercolor to color the coffee cup.

I decided I wanted more texture in the background, so went in with this fun bubble stamp. 

 I stamped and colored this cute bird. Do you think those eyes will get my message across, or does it just look over caffeinated?

I added some white dots to the cup, as well as the bird.

 

I am ready to grab a cup of coffee with you, so let's make plans!

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Add a Rainbow of Color   Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: MASCULINE

The Curious Professor 

I began the tag with a layer of tissue paper collage, leaving plenty of open space. 

Next, I added stamping to the tag. 

I whitewashed it with a thin layer of paint to tone down the black. 

Time for some ink smooshing in yellow and orange. I added water drips and lifted to make it more interesting. Then, I dried this layer. 

I randomly did some blue ink smooshing over the yellows. I wanted to keep my colors separate. 

I stamped Curious on a salvaged tag and popped it. 

I stamped the professor, then his top hat (which could have been a bit lower), then just for fun, I added the propellor to the tophat. 

I love all the layers of collage, stamping, and color that pop through. I also distressed the tag edges with ink, and scraped the scissors along the edge  (be careful!)

 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Mother's Day/Feminine  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is: THINGS WITH WINGS

It's not surprising that I immediately thought of butterflies with this week's challenge. I am looking forward to their return. But, I also thought of dandelions which are popping up with their brilliant yellow heads, and I stated thinking about when they go to seed, and the fluffy light seeds take wing. Then, why not add in a dreaming person, because our dreams take wing also. Apparently, I was well into symbolism with this week's theme.

DREAMER 

I began with overall stamped butterflies on the tag.  

On a second tag, I stamped my figure and word. Originally, I was going to layer part of this tag over my other one until I had an oops with some brown paint. 

I watercolored the figure in a contrasting color after I stamped a giant dandelion with her.
