I thought it would be fun to pull out the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamps to make my cards with this week.

I wanted a funky background, and this stencil was perfect. I tried out the new Whale ink - what a great color!

Stamped my birds and thank you...

Next up, watercolor!

Blending colors for my birdies...

Shall we call this the bluebird of happiness?

Maybe this one is the sunshine bird...

I used contrasting colors for the mat to tie these together as a pair.

Our Four Legged Friends

Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Add a Sentiment Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

It's been great having Laura with us this month! I know you have enjoyed her awesome makes as much as I have. Looking forward to seeing more of your creations, Laura!

This week the challenge is: FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

What a fun challenge this week! It was a toss up between the cats and dogs, and this time the dogs won. I made a trio of Artist Trading Cards to share with you this week.

Here's my inspiration for this week's challenge - my "grandpups" Rowan (Mr. Fluffy) and Nessie. They are super adorable, spunky and full of frolic...unless they are waiting for treats and they will wait patiently. (well, for a bit at least...) I just love these two! (photos courtesy of Kari Smith)

I began with stamping the images onto the illustration board and watercolor paper.

Next, I colored the images with Tombow Markers.

I added some fun backgrounds with Tracy's stamps.

I fussy cut the accessories to add.

C'MON MA!

How many of you have dogs that look at you like this when you put the food bowl down and tell them to wait?

PARTY ANIMAL

You know if you have a party pup - they bounce all over the place, they are the first ones to greet strangers, and fun around in circles chasing their tails.

BAD TO THE BONE

You know the one that steals other dogs bones, or eats their food? The one that can't stand for another pup to get the attention it deserves? Yes, this is the one.

I had fun creating my 4 legged trio of pups, and being just a bit silly.

It's a Dog's Life

Hello Monday my friends! I hope this finds you well. We have a super fun challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - IT'S A DOG'S LIFE.

Our Jack Russell, Jasper, lived 19 good years with us. Sadly, he passed over the rainbow bridge several years ago and we really miss him. He was definitely top dog in our house and knew how to run things. One of his favorite things to do was to jump in the car when we said "go for ride?" Of course, he would jump in even if we didn't say that, and there was the one time he jumped into the postman's vehicle - in one side and out the other when he realized it wasn't us. So many good stories of a dog's life. So have fun with the challenge this week!

GOOD FRIENDS

I started out with some paint and stencils.

Once dry, I stamped the words on, but it wasn't straight and didn't show up enough, so I ended up restamping it. My stenciled stars are more blobs because I used a bit too much paint, but all's well in the end.

Images are stamped and colored...(the dragon is from the Tim Holtz Stamptember 2019 set )

A couple of good friends ready to head out and party! Who talked them into the pink and orange polka dot bow ties? Well, maybe if we keep our shades on, no one will notice us!

Card all layered up and ready to go, or so I thought until I added sprinkles for the background.

I decided to add a sprinkling of bling across the card for a fun touch.

Good friends don't let you do stupid things....alone

Apparently my dog's life is a party life, and looks like he has a good friend to hang out with! I hope you are inspired to come join us this week and share your version of It's a Dog's Life with us!
