NSD Tip or Technique # 10

Ok, the "extreme" day of scrapbooking is coming to a close, so I thought I would share this page.  I love how the photo expresses my son Ben's talent on a dirt bike.  I played with the photo to just add color in certain areas, and keep the rest in black and white.  The wavy layers at the bottom are an echo of the layers of sand in the sand pit where they ride.  And, a favorite technique that I do not use often enough - sewing directly on the page.  I just love how it looks.  Good reminder to me to dust off the sewing machine and do it again.

It's been a great day with you all!! Be sure to share with us what you did today and comment on the posts today or this past week for a chance to win one of our giveaways. We'll be posting the winners soon!

  3. Maura,

I love this! From the great action shot, the pop of colors, the paper layers and the machine stitching...it comes together perfectly for a terrific layout. Lots of great ideas to try on this one. Thanks for sharing!
