I was so excited to get my new stamp set from Tim Holtz, "Mini Blueprints", that I just had to play with it for my card this month. I just love this set, and it works perfectly for a foursome. I created several different background papers with distress inks, stains and mists on glossy paper, and then stamped the designs and hand cut the squares out.
I used my distress markers to add a bit more to the acorn, and popped that one up just a bit. In the "distress mode", I decided to make my own ribbon color. I wiped several different stains on my craft mat, and then rolled the ribbon around in it, scrunched it up and left it to dry. I just love the way this ribbon turns out, and the wonderful vibrant colors you can create to exactly match your project. To finish it off, I added some patterned paper to the back flap of the envelope.
I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp "Read all About It" challenge, because, after all, we read blueprints :)
There you have it, my September card to swap!
