Stamping All Stars & LSNED

I am following Shimelle's Learn Something New Everyday, and I am learning, but not keeping up with the recording of it, so I needed a little book to keep track of it all. Since Simon Says Monday Challenge is to use your stamping all stars, why not combine the two? I can't narrow down to a favorite stamp, so I will just go with my all time faves - any by Tim Holtz!
It all started with a little black book...Moleskin.
First step, I gessoed the cover.
A little distress ink and water to add some color to the bottom.
Next, distress stains that I swiped on the top and let drip down to create this effect. I like it!
Here, you can see the full drippy effect.
I had to use my new Tim Holtz stencils that just came in, and this is perfect. Used distress ink with a felt applicator. I can see that I am going to have fun with my new stencils!
Ah, now for the stamping! I used Tim Holtz's "The Countdown" set and archival ink.
I thought this was a great saying for LSNED.
Before sealing the cover...
After sealing the cover...when my eye chart got blurry (but, hey, that's the way I see...) I like the bubbles I added to the glasses.
Ok, time to start writing in all the new things I have learned this week!

  4. Another STELLAR (in capital letters) project! I liked how it went kind of blurry/watery--ish! Your projects always have some sort of whimsical component that makes me happy. Really well done and I'm so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog.
