Inspired by CJS2015!

I am taking the Creative Jumpstart course again this January with Nathalie Kahlbach. It's an online course with 25 instructors from around the globe. Week one was awesome with some great ideas to try. It's not too late to join in the fun here.

So...I watched the videos and got inspired to play with my acrylic paints and some of Nat's stamps and stencils. I found a planner/calendar on sale at Staples, and decided to use paint...in the past I have usually reached for patterned paper.
I also found a Moleskin journal that I think I will use with this, so painted that up too...a matched pair!
Here's the journal in detail so you can see the cover laid out. Added the doodling with the black pen to bring the design out further. Next step will be to work on the inside.
Plain green journal on the left that I began with, and at the end of the project, I had a large squirt of paint leftover, so grabbed the composition book and painted it up in blues and green...looks better, right?

The dark, cold days of January are bright and creative with CJS. Look for more to come!
