Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year! I love the crispness in the air, the leaves starting to change color, and the cool nights. So, I love this challenge! Welcome to Monday, and a brand new challenge!
Whether you’re inspired by the colors or any element of the season from harvest to pumpkins to Halloween we invite you to embrace the season and join us!
This week I am definitely inspired by the colors of autumn as I am seeing leaves just beginning to change colors. There are hints of reds, yellows and oranges in the air, and they are my palette this week!
I started by creating a background using yellows, oranges, and red with distress inks, and adding water droplets for interest.
Next, I stamped a lot of images all over my sheet of watercolor paper.
Now for the fun of putting it all together after fussy cutting the images out. I was thinking of a wreath, and knew I had to use this cute hoop as my base, which I darkened with a bit of the new Distress Expresso paint.
Add a few wooden birds, and some hand dyed ribbons, mount it on yardstick, and I am liking this! I especially like the dimension of the card...looks like this one will have to be hand delivered.
Ah, this is life, and I am enjoying every day of Autumn! I hope you are too!!
