Well, hello Monday! It's time for some Holly Jolly stamping!
If you're a stamper, this is the best time of the year! From holly to trees, Santa to sentiments, there are so many amazing stamps for the season. We challenge you to use a favorite or perhaps never before used holiday stamp this week and join us in the fun!
This week, I am playing with a wonderful new stamp line I've just discovered - Santoro stamps from London! I just love this little elfin girl with her nightcap and candle!
I decided to go with traditional Christmas colors on this card. I started by stamping my images on the Bristol board, then coloring them with markers as well as using the markers to watercolor with. And, yes, you might notice my mistake - the dark blob by her hair. I tried to white it out, and then just covered it up.
You may have noticed, I do not usually reach for cute stamps, but there is something about this line of stamps that I just love. Bet you will be seeing more from me!
All right, now it's your turn to dig out your favorite holly jolly stamp and get stamping! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I also wanted to wish a very Happy Hanukkah to all of you who celebrate the Festival of Lights!
Simon Says Stamp offers a generous $50 voucher to one lucky person who links up with the challenge!

ReplyDeleteThis is so flippin' cute! Love that image and love even more how you brought her to life with your soft yet vibrant colors. And ha! What a cool thing to see how you handled your "mistake"! It did my heart good to know that even the best of the best have a stray ink smudge every now and again! Fabulous post all the way around!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Maura...so, so pretty! I'm a huge fan of these images, so I was always going to love this and as for your 'mistake'...who knew, you did a wonderful job of covering it up! ;)
