Just a Pinch!

Hello Monday! You know what this means!

A pinch of this, a pinch of that - this is how I cook most of the time. It's not often I get out an actual recipe. Well, sometimes, it's like that in crafting too...a pinch of something can make all the difference.

Whether it is glitter or embossing powder, or perhaps a flick of ink spray, this week we challenge you to add just a pinch to your next project. Maybe you simply want to sprinkle your art journal night sky with some star sequins, or add a pinch of pixie dust to a magical fairy creation? A pinch of the right craft product can make a project extra special!

So, what was my pinch? A few drops of gold spray sprinkled across my cards.

It's always good to have a few extra cards handy in a pinch, and I can use these anytime.

I stamped my images on water color paper with my trusty Archival black ink. Once that was dry, I misted the paper and used my water brush to add in color from my ink pads, so worked wet on wet. I challenged myself to work outside of my usual color range with the thank you card. I am loving this beautiful new stamp set!

Layered my images onto coordinating card stock, added the Prima flower and some of my hand dyed ribbon to match. I even did a fairly good job tying the bows this time :) Then took my Heidi Swapp Color Shine and dripped some of it across the card.

A pinch of flowers, a pinch of ribbon, and a pinch of gold, and these babies are ready to use!

Thank you as always for stopping in for a visit during this busy time of the year!

So, I wonder what your "pinch" will be in your crafting creation this week? I am looking forward to seeing what you create, so hope you will join us in the challenge!

Remember, Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 voucher to one lucky winner - how generous is that!

  6. Oh wow! Double card bonus! Double card bonus! I always LOVE seeing something brilliant and the only thing better than seeing something brilliant is to see TWO brilliant somethings in different color palettes! I was drawn to each set of colors and it was a treat to see how varied they could look. Love the structure of the card and how you blended the shades and tones so expertly.
