This  week we are spotlighting the array of products from 49 and Market.  

This week the challenge is: BACK TO SCHOOL

School was my everyday story for many years. I taught science, from grade 6 through college. One of my traditions was to alter my plan book and enjoy a bit of art every time i pulled it out. Notebooks are the same - why not "art it up" and enjoy having your own unique notebook? I love to keep learning, and a good notebook is great to have on hand. 

 

I began with a coat of gesso over the composition book. Once that dried, I stenciled letters, using black ink.

 Then, I stenciled in some numbers.

Since I associate going back to school as a fall season, I used orange, red and brown paint. I rubbed it on with a baby wipe, and swiped some back to create lighter areas.

Well, I am ready for fall...even if I am not going back to school, LOL!
