May Favorite Picks

Here are Maura's picks for May. I chose two items that I reach for ALL the time!
First is my spinner and all the handles with removable pads that I use all the time for edging and distressing. Love this Tim Holtz product!
My second is a great product for me because I am messy and do not mind getting ink or paint all over. This flour sack towel is the perfect thing to have on hand to clean as you go -it has saved me many a time! As you can see, my in-use one on the right gets a workout!

Sheila here...my favorite item right now is the Hello Days Story Cards by Ali Edwards. They are on sale for 75% off at Two Peas-not sure how much longer they'll be in stock at that price.
At $1.24 for a pack of 24 cards, who can resist? Besides using them in Project Life albums, I love using them as little daily to-do lists. I find myself writing little things I hope - or need - to accomplish each day and stick them on my bulletin board or magnet board and cross the items off. The backside is great for a small shopping list, items you need to restock in your craft room, or just about anything for us list makers.

April Favorite Picks

Maura's favorite for April is my new Raskog cart from IKEA. I just got this, well actually two, and have already turned one into my "Tim Holtz" cart. It is now filled with my distress stains, inks, paints, embellishments, and the list goes on. I think I am going to love having it all in one place! I am planning to re-organize my space, and if it works out, I will share pictures. Bit by bit...
Sheila here...Maura, I have seen those carts all over the internet in everyone's craft rooms and they all love them! I think it is perfect as it keeps everything out in sight. Keep us updated on your reorganization.

My latest favorites are these little enamel dots that are everywhere right now.
My Mind's Eye, Basic Grey and Teresa Collins
I keep them out on my workspace to use in my scrapbooks, cards and even right on top of photos.

What are some of your latest favorites?

February Favorite Product Pick

Maura's faves right here, right now...the blueprint stamps from Tim Holtz - I just love the graphic hand drawn feel to these designs. There are a lot of new ones out there I can't wait to get my hands on :) I also had to add in a long time favorite of mine - these scissors from Tim Holtz. I've been doing some fussy cutting lately, and these are perfect for that. I really learned how much I rely on these when I left mine home on my craft desk and went to a crop...I was lost without these favorites!

Sheila's faves here...lately I am loving all the date and phrase roller stamps.

There are lots out there all of a sudden. I even found a Valentine themed one at Target! I suggest you go to your favorite online shopping site and do a search or just google "roller date stamps". I'm getting quite the collection-not all are shown!

New Favorite Product Pick - Maura's

Right here, right now my new favorite product is Golden's Glass Bead Gel because it has such awesome effects. I recently posted about it here and here. In my recent projects, I've laid it on pretty thick and it took a long time to dry (like overnight). I would like to play with it some more and see how a thinner coat would work. I see a lot of possibilities with this!

Thought I would share again what I did with the gel medium. Here is the tag I made using a stencil. (Anita, I made sure to get the whole tag in, just for you.)

I used it in areas of my altered Valentine's tin. It dries clear, so really picks up the color you put under it.

So there you have it for January....Sheila and Maura's favorite product of the month. Be sure to leave us a comment and let us know about your favorite product this month! Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. - just decided to add my altered tin to the Purplemailbox Layout Love Linky.
