Challenge: A Little Paper

Simon Says Stamp challenge this week is using little paper, or larger paper in a small size, or... So, I am taking up the challenge while at the same time making a couple of birthday cards for my sons this week.
Play time! Distress markers, inks, Tim Holtz paper, stamps, etc. Ready for some fun!
I chose the ticket stub paper by Tim Holtz, and even ran it through the Big Shot to add texture! Small pieces of a larger one, and the tickets make a perfect background for my time traveling gentlemen. The time travelers are stamped on canvas, and then I used a water brush with my distress markers to get this look.
Love these new buckles, and I pulled out some distress ribbon I made, to add another element to the card.
Now, all that remains is choosing which card goes to which son...

  1. Hi Maura...really cute cards! I love Tim's collage ticket background paper you've used. His two gentlemen stamps look great on top of the ticket background paper. Love the colored ribbon and the little buckle embellishment on your cards, too. Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

  4. Maura, I love the added texture of the background-bet that's a result of having organized and getting your tools out and within reach. Stamping and coloring on the burlap is prefect for a more masculine look. Love them!
