Happy National Scrapbook Day

Or perhaps weekend? Hope you all have had a chance to be crafty. I finally made two layouts to share with you.

The first is from a trip to visit my sister in St. Augustine, and their lovely lighthouse. A little play with stencils and paint. That background paper was perfect for this.

My second one is a play on yellow for Simon Says challenge, "not so Mellow Yellow". I found out that yellow is not really one of my go to colors for Scrapbooking, so this was a challenge for me. I found this winter photo of our house, and thinking of how long this winter lasted, and how often I wished for sunshine and flowers, I thought I would juxtapose the two ideas. I've always liked how SoapHousemama layers all those bits of paper, so tried my hand at that, along with paints and stencils.

Hope you had a crafty weekend, see you soon!

I'd love to have you join the comment party I've posted on my blog. I'm offering some blog candy.
