I LOVE this Technique!

Hello Monday!

When it comes to stamping May has a lot of favorite techniques from stamping with mist to embossing and so much more! This week we want you to share a project that features one of your favorite techniques!

Art journal time for this challenge! My all time favorite technique is simple and just uses distress inks and water, how easy is that?

So, how do you start you ask? Simple, just choose several distress inks (3 always works well for me) and lay down your colors. Then quick! flick some water drops on the ink before it dries. The longer you let it sit, the more color gets removed. I left this background in more of a color block style, but sometimes I blend a lot more.

Next step, go over it with another color (I used the fossilized amber for this step). You can also flick more water on this layer if you want. (you can see how this blends the colors) Now you have a great background to stencil and stamp.

Add some words of wisdom, delicate vellum butterflies, and pen nib bodies, glue the page in, and one more entry into my art journal.

So, what is your favorite technique? I am curious to see what you share this week over at Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge. I have a feeling we are all going to learn some great techniques this week from the design team and all of you!

Time to craft and and join us in the fun!  A random winner is chosen every week to win a generous $50 spending spree from SimonSaysStamp!
