Thank my Lucky Stars!

Hello Monday! Time for a new challenge, and this week we are all about celebrating St. Patrick's Day on March 17, the luck of the Irish, and of course, some lucky stars! Why don't you join in the star fun with us this week?

I am totally into the green, I think I found every shade of green spray and mist I had to play with. I used my Simon Sketch Star die to make some stencils to use with the sprays. So many lovely greens, but I also had to add some gold in too. You know those stories about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? I haven't found it yet, but still looking with each rainbow.

Added in some blues with distress inks, and mosaic swirls with texture paste (I love this stuff!!).

After I inked up the swirls, I went in with another stencil with tiny dots to add another fun layer.

Decided I wanted the stars to pop more, so went in and doodled around them with my Pitt pen, and added in a few swirls of my own.

Lots of lucky stars to celebrate March!

March is also the changing of the season, and ties in to what is occurring in the celestial sphere. I had a "vintage" stamp of Stonehenge, and thought I would add this. It's all about the alignment of the stars, including our Sun. I'm feeling pretty lucky, because Spring is almost here! (at least on the calendar)

I hope you will join in our lucky stars challenge this week, and I look forward to seeing what you make! Go find your stars, go find your greens, and most of all this week, Celebrate Your Irish! If you don't personally have any Irish, find a friend who does - they'll have some to spare!

Simon Says Stamp is offering a generous $50 voucher! Play your lucky stars and it could be you!

  14. This is GOR-GEOUS! I am drooling over that color palette, which is making me want to go find some sherbet or pistachio gelato. It is so fresh-feeling and the energy you created in the background with all of those techniques is remarkable. You have skills, my friend, and it's always a joy to see where they've taken you!
