Whatever the Weather!

Hello friends! We have a new challenge for you this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Whatever the Weather. We are also showcasing Tim Holtz products, so dig into your stash and pull some stuff out and create with us!

Please join me in welcoming Bonnie, aka Nox, our guest designer for the month of March! I think you'll enjoy her fun crafting mix. Welcome Nox!!

Oh, I am so looking forward to sunny (and Warm) days, but in the meantime, I will sing and dance in the rain (and snow)! I love this saying by Tim Holtz, it's such a positive outlook!
Umbrella Man felt like the perfect image to go with this, and then I remembered a Dr. Who episode, where the fish, sharks I think, were swimming through the air. Well, it's been so wet here, I sometimes feel like I could see fish swimming through the air, so I just had to add in a couple.

I started with a manila tag, used Distress Oxides, and misted it with water.

Once, the tag dried, I wanted to try out my new Distress Resist Spray with a stencil. Now this is some cool stuff! I sprayed through the stencil on the bottom, then turned the stencil over on the top and smooshed the rest of the spray onto the tag. Once the spray dried, I went in with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. I like they way the resist spray kept my bubble blue, and I could darken around them.

Then, I just got into stamping and coloring and cutting, and forgot to take photos, so here are several detail photos.

Love the background with the resist!

Shimmery fish...

I actually love storms! There is something very energizing about them, with the winds blowing, lightning flashing and thunder booming. I like to see them rolling across the mountains and lake. I have been a bit too up close and personal with storms in my life, and that is downright scary.
So yes, I will dance in the rain!

Now it's your turn to dig out your Tim Holtz products and play along with us this week! If you have no Tim (really?) just pull out what you have, whatever the weather.

Our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp are offering a $50 voucher!

 A great place to shop!!
