Easter Inspiration

Hello friends, it's Monday and that means a new challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week we have this gorgeous mood board, designed by Zoey, to inspire you for this week's challenge Easter Inspired
I was especially inspired by the bunny and gorgeous colors to make my Easter card.

If you are like me, every once in awhile something comes in the mail that catches your eye, and not for the content, but the paper. I mean, who could throw away a pink holographic envelope? I knew I could use it for something, and I die cut some bunnies with it - if you look behind each bunny you will see a shiny shadow.

Why not emboss dots onto dots?

The stamp platform works great to layout the words and bunny  for inside my card.

I added lots of carrots in the background and a bit of watercolor on the bunny and some glitter gloss.

When I put my bunnies on the dots, they didn't show up enough, so I toned it down a bit with white paint, and popped up the pink a bit more with the worm lipstick ink.

I've had Dina Wakley's new washi tape sitting on my desk, and I looked over at it as I was working and thought, "hey, these colors would look great on this!"

It was fun die cutting the bunnies in the bright papers from Pink and Main and putting them together. I looked at it and thought, hmm, needs something, which turned out to be a splash of Rainbow Unicorn from 28 Lilac Lane. This is a fantastic spring mix!

I wanted to add fluffy bunny tails, but when I tried it, I just laughed, they looked so weird. Maybe if I had tiny pom poms?

My joyous little bunny brigade wishes you a Happy  Easter (if you celebrate), and a lovely spring to everyone!

Now it's your turn to be inspired by Zoey's mood board and Easter! I hope you will join us in this week's challenge. One participant will be chosen for a $50 shopping voucher from our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp!
