Simon Says: Spooky Halloween!

Happy Monday my friends! Yes, we have a new challenge for you this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - SPOOKY/HALLOWEEN.  'Tis the bewitching season, after all!

I headed to one of my art journals and started to play.

Spooky Mischief

I started by creating layers upon layers for my background. I brushed on the paint, spritzed it a bit with water, and lifted it with a paper towel I pressed into the page. I really love the spotty look you can achieve with both paint and ink.

Next up some green with the harlequin stencil.

The Twisted stencil is perfect for a spooky page, and I used it with the red, then again with the yellow.

Final paint layer with the burlap stencil and Coral paint.

I stamped SPOOKY at the bottom, then, I sprinkled on several different Infusions and spritzed with water. Once that dried, I stamped bats, bats, bats on the page, then added a bit of Mica spray.

While that dried, I stamped my girl, bats and words onto watercolor paper and colored them with watercolor or ink. I added them to the page with some fun embellishments.

Halloween is right around the corner, so be ready for tricks and treats and spooky mischief!

I hope you will join us this week with our spooky challenge. One lucky participant is drawn at random to win a $50 voucher from our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp!

  3. Wow, the background itself is creepy enough! Love the mix of colors and patterns. It seems the background lives and moves behing the girl and that scares me a bit. Hugs, Marzena
