Simon Says: Frame It!

Hello Monday my friends! Hope you have had a great week and found some crafting time. We have a new challenge for you at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Frame It! It's also the last week for our guest designer, Ashley May, who has been sharing the most incredible projects! It's been great spending the month with you Ashley, and I will be looking forward to seeing more of your creations.

Boundless...365 new days, 365 new chances...

Living in the USA, we are celebrating Memorial Day, and I always take time to think of my parents who served and those who lost their lives for freedom. It's also the beginning of the camping season for many, and a time for picnics and barbecues and parades. Spring is finally in season here, and summer is just around the corner, school will be out soon, so yes, the possibilities are boundless!

I started by creating a lovely background on Yupo paper with the new Alcohol Pearl Inks. Oh, they have such a gorgeous sheen and rich colors!

I stenciled a bit around the edge of my card, just to add another "framed" layer.

I stamped Andrea's Circles and Frames onto watercolor paper, spritzed it with water, then added some color with my Mermaid Markers. With the paper already wet, the color flows beautifully. The heat tool comes in handy to speed things up. Once dry, I fussy cut the pieces out.

I stamped onto the Yupo, popped up the frame, and added drops of the black Nuvo.

Oh, I am really loving these gorgeous colors together!

There we have my framed "boundless" ready to be used as a birthday, encouragement card, or even graduation.  I hope you are inspired to join us this week! One lucky participant will be chosen at random for a $50 shopping voucher with our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp!
