Hello Friends, I hope this post finds you and yours healthy and well in these crazy times. Sending out many many wishes for good health to you. I decided to make a couple of ATC's for this month's challenge at Sandee and Amelie's Steampunk Challenges, with some inspirational words for all of us. I couldn't resist adding in some rabbits/hares and a bit of Alice in Wonderland too.
STAY STRONG
START DOING THINGS YOU LOVE
I ran some watercolor paper through texture folders (Sizzix gears and queen of hearts), and then painted them for the backgrounds. I decided on a blue/green theme for the gears.
...and a red/orange/yellow theme for the Queen of Hearts one.
While that dried, I painted and embossed a pocket watch bit (Seth Apter), and a top hat I cut myself.
Next, I added some metallic lustres to both cards, and a bit of Quinacridone Gold, to bring out the highlights.
I wrote in I'm late repeatedly on the gear card.
Supplies
I made a little vest for this fellow and doodled a bit around him, added in a few gears, and the words STAY STRONG seemed so right for this time in our lives. (Rabbit dies from Tim Holtz)
I made a top hat for this rabbit, colored him with pencils and Q. Gold, and stuck those big ears through the hat. It's certainly a good time right now to...START DOING THINGS YOU LOVE.
