Happy Holidays

Hello Monday, my friends! Welcome to this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I made a Christmas decor panel with lots of fun Tim Holtz products, inspired by this fabulous project by Tami B.

I had the rare opportunity to craft with some friends recently, and we each made our own version of the bottle cap Christmas tree. I loved seeing how each person put their unique stamp on their own make.

MERRY & BRIGHT

I used several paints and layered colors to make my frame. A touch of Gilt brightens it up.

I'm using Christmas bottle caps to create my tree shape, popping some up for dimension. I laid out the pieces, grunged up the edges with ground espresso, wiped some paint into the words to make them stand out a bit (on some). When I do my preliminary layout, I like to take a photo of my idea before I take it apart. That gives me something to refer back to as I rebuild it.

Building the base...

And now for all the fun details...
I love the mix of the Flair buttons with the metal, and a touch of glitter.

I had to include this Post Office flair, as they play a huge roll in getting all of our cards mailed out and presents mailed.

...and there you have it, a Christmas home decor make.

No matter what holiday you choose to focus on in this week's challenge, have fun with it! Our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp are offering a $25 shopping voucher to a participant...that could be you! We also love highlighting our favorite makes from each challenge.

A GREAT place to shop!!
