Lucky Embossing

Hello Monday my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  Things With Wings  Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

The first of the month we always showcase a company, and this month it is our own wonderful Simon Says Stamp!

Please join me in welcoming our guest designer for the month of March,  Pauline C of Passion for Papercradts. Welcome!

This week the challenge is: EMBOSS IT!

For me, March is the month to celebrate my Irish, so I decided to begin the month with some St. Patrick's Day cards.

I began with some colorful green ink smooshing on watercolor paper.

Once dry, I blended in some Citrine with a small Simon blending brush - I love these blending brushes and reach for them all the time.

Then, I splattered them. I use a couple of drops of dish soap in water and an old toothbrush. Use a paper towel to lift up the splatters after a few seconds.

I added the four leaf clovers  from the die cut to the inside of my cards.

I embossed the background while the paper was still damp with Simon's River Damask embossing folder. Then, I layered the Linking Lucky Clovers and a shamrock onto the card.

I finished up with some hand dyed ribbon, and a handwritten Lucky on black cardstock.

Well, I think nothing says you are Irish like greens and shamrocks! Wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's Day on March 17 if you celebrate, or as my three year old self said to our neighbor, "You can be Irish today."!

I hope you will join us for some embossing fun this week!

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $25 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
