Hello creative friends!
Welcome to the Simon Says stamp blog hop for the new release BEAUTIFUL DAYS. I'm using the new SISTERS FOREVER stamp set today.
I just received a Gudrun Sjoden catalog in the mail which inspired me to make this page in my art journal. I fussy cut the image to use. A photo of sisters would be perfect here too (I just didn't have one printed) or you could find one in a magazine too.
I started by brushing white gesso onto the page. Once dry, I stamped lettering across the page randomly.
Next, I brushed the blue paints on, and wiped back a bit with a baby wipe.
Then, I mixed some pink, orange and white gesso to use with the stencil.
I used the white Posca pen to outline parts of the design.
Meanwhile, I blended some inks onto the watercolor paper after I stamped the sister words with the black ink and made sure it was dry first. I rounded the corners too and edged this piece with black ink.
Yes, sisters know all the secrets!
Bonus Project - Sisters card made using the same materials and Simon's Slimline card.

I am so very grateful to my sisters Eileen and Karen. We made a commitment to get together at least once a year in honor of our mother. Over the years we have had many adventures, laughs, hugs and tears. I am so glad my sisters are connected to my life.
