 Hello Monday, my friends! And welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the  ADD SOME TEXTURE Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. 

This week the challenge is: EXPLORE!

Let's get out and explore the world! Travel! Adventure! Wander on the journey! Why not head off on a journey of discovery? Maybe there is a place in the world you have always wanted to visit...Nepal, Paris, the Highlands of Scotland, the Amazon Rainforest, Yellowstone...or a special place close to home. Maybe your exploring is through a story, or your art...whatever it is, just head out there and explore this week!

VINTAGE EXPLORATION

I wanted to create an aged paper look to my art journal page. A couple of distress inks,  some smooshing, and some splattering of water does the trick. 

I added some pixie dust to my compass die cut. 

In keeping with the vintage look, I added some stenciled flourishes to the corners of the page. 

Vintage appeal... 

I pulled words that went with the idea of exploring from my Big Chat stickers and distressed them a bit. 

 Meanwhile, I made another ink smooshed background on watercolor paper, then stamped the map image twice with ground espresso.

I ripped part of the map to add to the page. 

I fussy cut one of the globes which fit perfectly into the die cut globe stand.
