Going Dotty Challenge

Simon Says Stamp's challenge for this past week was to go "dotty", so that's what I did and in the nick of time. One thing I like to do to prepare for school is to alter my plan book. I stopped by school this past week, trying to get in to my classroom to get things set up, but alas, they had just waxed the floors and I could not get to my room. Luckily, in the office they had our new plan books, so I could get one to alter before school begins.
I decided this year to go with our school colors, red, white and blue since we are the "Patriots" and found this Authentique paper I bought for July 4, and somehow still had...LOL!
One of my favorite things to use to make circles, or go dotty, is bubble wrap. Yes, there is another reason I shop online - for the bubble wrap :) Paint over the bubbles with white paint, and "stamp".
So, although I chose papers with dots, I wanted to play and get messy, so stamped over the page with bubble wrap and paint.
Next, I used a stencil and mist to go over the numbers, but it didn't show up very well, so laid the stencil down again and brushed paint over it. Somewhere, I like to indicate the school year, so I went over the 13 and 14 with black marker to make it stand out.
Here is my cover for the school year. I think the saying is very appropriate for the year ahead.
One final addition to the cover, some rub ons.
Here is my cover with all the layers...
I can't forget the back...some bubble wrap stamping, more paint, more doodles.
One thing about altering my plan book is everyone knows who it belongs to. Ready to embark on the school year now.
