Love is in the Air

Hello Monday, love! With Valentine's Day around the corner, we are getting all romantic and creating for someone we love. As red is the color of love, we would like to see a hint of that in your creation too! Looking forward to seeing what you create.

As for me, I love steampunk and headed off in this direction....or as I am calling these ATC's, SteamPink! Using a lot of pink and red, and working outside of my usual palette, which can always be a fun challenge.

Started out with blackboard for my ATC's and splashed on some bubblegum pink paint.

Placed them together and laid the gear masks over them...

Laid on the bright pink paint...

Made for some lovely gear designs...

Added a few more gear masks...

Outlined gears with black pen...

Sketched out some hearts on watercolor paper...

Time for the red, Candy Apple Red, that is!

Put the pieces together, add gears, moustaches, words, embossed clocks...oh what fun!

I made a set of four for an ATC exchange I am hosting...theme...SteamPink! I do love the little red heart clusters too, and cogs and gears, oh yes!

Here are three on display...

I hope you have enjoyed my creative fun with steampunk. What inspires you when it comes to love? I am looking forward to seeing what you share with us this week!

Come on over and play, you could win a $50 voucher from Simon Says Stamp!

  4. Love the SteamPink idea! And what a great tip to line up the 4 pieces and use the templates at the same time. The little heart clusters are a sweet touch.
