Happy Monday everyone! New Challenge! How about some Tic Tac Toe fun? Choose any row, column or diagonal, or if you are feeling intensely crafty - all, and have fun making something new.
I chose the top row for mine - Sequins, Gold, and Stamp.
I had some watercolor samples leftover from demoing a class, so I decided this would be a perfect background for my Dina Wakley Woman. Aren't these cool stamps? I rather randomly stamped my image across the colors, then fussy cut her out.
Next, I used my Paper Artsy Hot Picks stamp and inked it up with Simon's High Dive and Jellybean inks. I ran the ink pads across the large stamp to get this mix of colors.
I decided I wanted a bit more background color, so next I blended in some Distress Cracked Pistachio, then added some gold spray.
I still felt like I wanted a bit more in the background, so I ghost stamped the image. As you can see, I stamped once off my project, so it would be a lighter image on the card. I didn't want it to detract from my figure.
Putting it all together...I stamped the words on my watercolor scraps and love the "watermelon" look! Added a gold sequin by each word and a light pink one on her hat. My favorite part? - I love the randomness of the woman stamped over the leftover watercolor paper.
I can't wait to see what you choose in the tic tac toe challenge! Come join us in the fun this week, and you could be the lucky winner of the $50 shopping spree from Simon Says Stamp!

ReplyDeleteMaura! As always, even one or two words from you totally strikes my imagination! Now I am pondering high fashion bingo and what that would look like if a department store offered it to me! Thought tangents aside, I really love this! The colors are so yummy and summery. Really pretty and energetic all at once. It has a sense of movement and sass that is fantastic!
