Hello Monday! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
We are "Thinking of You" this week with our challenge. I also thought, we think of Paris in the springtime, but why not in the fall as well?
It's been such a treat this month to have Nikki with us as our GD, so be sure to stop by her blog and let her know how much we've all enjoyed this month's journey with her!! Looking forward to more of your creative work, Nikki!
I decided to continue with the Autumn colors on this project to create my card. I had previously played with my Paper Artsy Infusions on watercolor paper and had stamped some images to use, as well as to die cut with. I distressed this Eiffel Tower and script image from Tim Holtz's French Industrial collection.
Since I have no fancy tool to make a shaker card with, I did it the old fashioned way with thin strips of foam tape around my vellum.
I stamped the "thinking of" onto the cardstock and selected some sequins and beads from the 28 Lilac Lane Toasted Graham collection to use in my shaker.
Since I was using the black cardstock, I also lined the inside of the card for writing. I distressed the paper edges on the front and curled a bit down.
Then I added the "you" along with the leaves and button and thread to finish off the card. Maybe I went for this faded, almost cloudy image on my card because of all the rain (and a touch of snow) outside today.
I really appreciate you stopping by, and hope you will join us in the challenge this week - we are "thinking of you"!
