25 Days of Christmas Tags: Simon Says Stamp!

Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring Tracey McNeeley's Day 4 of the annual  25 Tags Of Christmas Event.

Myself and several members of the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday Design Teams were invited to make a tag to share and promote this special event. It is so nice to get both teams working together! To see them all CLICK HERE

I know you will find lots of ideas at the hop to help you get ready for the holidays!

I made two gift tags to embellish a pretty gift bag or present using Simon's Holiday Ornament and Lined Trees dies.

I wanted to create a 3D tag, so I cut out multiple pieces of each die, so I could layer them and create a sturdy tag. I used Mod Podge to glue the layers together, and went around the edges with it also. You could also use gel medium.  I sandwiched a piece of vellum in-between that I cut to fit.

Here you can see how thick it is, and if you look at the trunk of the tree, you can see the multiple layers. I glittered the edge of the tree and the front of the ornament to add some holiday sparkle.

I wanted to dress my tags up a bit more, so added sequins, beads, pearls and a star, along with a bit of hand dyed ribbon.

Here is the Holly Ornament tag...

...and the Lined Tree tag. (I used the largest tree) I wanted to create an elegant feel for this one, so used white and gold.

I hope you have found some holiday inspiration with my gift tags, and be sure to head on over to the hop to see more creative tags using Simon Says Stamp products!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I would love to hear from you! If you have any questions, just ask!

HAPPY HOLIDAY CRAFTING!!
