Let's Get Ready for Christmas!

Hello Monday my friends, and welcome to this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - LET'S GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS! Oh, you think it might be a bit too early? Around here, I'd better start early if I am going to be done in time for the holidays! Is it like that for you too?

We have so enjoyed having the lovely and talented Anne Redfern with us for the month! It's been wonderful having you as our guest designer Anne, and I will be on the lookout for more of your awesome creations!

I decided to make two tags for Christmas. These will be pretty attached to some special gifts. (not that I have those gifts yet, lol)

I started both tags with a layer of inks and stencils, using Distress Oxides and Simon Says Stamp stencils.

I layered the pine bough with a darker ink, after I had misted and dried the first layer.

I used the same greens to make the half tone trees.

I tied the tags up with hand dyed ribbons and tied on bells and jingle bells for a fun touch. I decided my half tone trees needed a bit of glitter, so tried to make it look like snow.

Same backgrounds, two tags...do you have a favorite?

I look forward to you joining us in this week's getting ready for Christmas challenge. Remember, our generous friends at Simon Says Stamp offer a $50 shopping voucher to one lucky participant!
