DecoArt Pouring Medium - Part 2

Hello! I've been experimenting with different DecoArt paints with the new pouring medium, and thought I would share it with you. 

DecoArt Premium Acrylics

1 part paint to 3 parts medium

(I just eyeball the amounts and estimate.)

Mix each paint in its own cup and have an extra cup ready to layer the paints.  I use popsicle sticks to stir it together. 

All of my experiments so far are mainly dirty pours where you layer the colors into one cup and pour.

I use a metal tray to catch the drips, or a box lid, and prop my piece up on a couple of bottle caps. 

I had some extra paint and added drips of blue. You can somewhat control your design by letting the paint flow in different directions. It can get really messy, so you might want to wear gloves.

I even like the puddles left over, such cool designs.

Here are the pieces fully dry. I just love the wonderful backgrounds, and I am sure they will inspire me to create something unique, so come back to see what I've made!

DecoArt Fluid Acrylics

2 parts paint to 1 part medium

With this set, I also wanted to try a metallic and see what effect that gave. I love the metallic addition!

 Here are these pieces fully dry. They really remind me of topographic maps or aerial photos (that must be the earth science teacher in me). I can't wait to work with these, although I must say I am tempted to just leave some of them alone!

 I had some canvas ATC size panels and used up my extra paint with these. 

DecoArt Americana Paints

1 part paint to 1 part medium
